Polarized Sunglasses

Polarized sunglasses have lenses that are coated with a special glare-reducing filter. Light glare and eyestrain are reduced by anti-glare sunglasses lenses. As a result, they enhance vision and protection from the sun.

UV protection is essential because it shields your eyes from harmful UV rays. Polarized sunglasses reduce glare, and adding polarized lenses is optional. It is important to note, however, that most polarized sunglasses provide some UV protection.

Polarized sunglasses provide several benefits, including better vision, enhanced contrast and minimal colour distortion, reduced glare and reflection, and reduced eyestrain. Still, remember that polarized sunglasses are not the same as UV-protected sunglasses. Unless otherwise stated, polarized sunglasses and their lenses do not provide UV protection. UV protection, on the other hand, will not make your sunglasses effective against reflected sunlight.

The main purpose of polarized sunglasses is to reduce glare, which is important when you’re, for example, walking your dog on a busy street or practicing a sport in an open field. The idea is that the sun’s rays reflect light in all directions, and when one of them strikes a flat surface, the reflected light shines back at your eye, causing a glare that compromises your vision. When wearing sunglasses without polarization, the lenses only decrease the amount of light transmitted horizontally and vertically through the lens. Polarized sunglasses, on the other hand, absorb horizontal light waves while letting vertical waves cross through. Light travels in only one direction through polarized lenses, which eliminates glare.
